Mine sticks out about half inch and I have a slight takeoff vibe for the last 60k miles and it still runs like a champ even after the beating it hets off-road. You’ll be fine. Get an alignment ASAP though that shit can wear tires quickly. My trucks been on the alignment rack more times than I’d like to admit.

Told you So! Hit em with some 2 in 1 paint/primer from Rustoleum after you clean them.

I just did 3 coats and mine aren't showing any signs or rust at all.

Do you think that's really necessary? Even if we live in sunny states?

Does anybody knows the torque of the bolts that connect the spindle to the LCA? The Maxtrac instructions inside the box doesn't say shit! They can't be the same as OEM because the system is completely different.

Being iron they would eventually get some surface rust. Much easier to try to prevent that now than after the install. I got mine used and got them baked to strip everything off and then coated them with paint after.

Ok, I'll do that! I am going to install them in the weekend anyway, so, I have a couple of days left for a paint job.

OEM torque values if you are using factory control arms.

Do you really think so? I mean, this is way different to how the OEM spindle connect to the LCA. This Maxtrac spindle use a huge bolt with a nut. :(

How is it different? Can you show me a photo of what you're talking about?

I think it should look similar to this...

Use a torque chart for a M16 bolt.
Though it may come up in newton meters since its metric. M16 bolt standard torque is 195nm or 143ftlb. Here’s another wrench for you. If you are torquing from the head of the bolt you add 10% to the torque. So 143 +10%(14.3)= 157.3ftlb.Though if the bolt is going into a blind hole you don’t add the 10%.
    Having fun yet?

Yep! That is a photo of the Maxtrac spindle. Am I right? The OEM is different. The LCA is attached to the spindle with bolts only.

I hate you, man! :D LOL OEM is 118ft lbs so 143ft lbs make sense.

I bought my truck used... one of the previous wrenchers on the truck over tighten the hard lines which flared it out and made it basically one time use. Ended up having to make my own hard lineCDFAF3E4-CA94-487D-922D-46E621291608.jpgThis was the over tighten one... flared at the bottom
