    Hello all,
Im new to this so bare with me. I've been doing a lot of research in different 2"-3" lifts from toytec to icon to OME. I'd love to get OME bp-51s but it's just a very expensive kit and I'm not one to hit the trails every other day, let alone every weekend so I don't feel that I'll get my money's worth with that kit. That being said, I really like icon because you can increase the stages as you go. But I notice not many of these lifts come with diff drops. I don't want to experience issues due to CV angles which is why I'm leaning more towards toytec. They seem like a good set up and they come with stuff drops. Any one with any experience and advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Yeah.
A 2" lift should not have too much of an effect on your CV angles. Most of the TW wisdom advises against dropping the diff due to it basically being spacers and longer bolts, creating a weaker mount and bigger problem if you catch it on something. That said, their kits are a decent value and upgrade.

Stay away from Diff Drops, they will do absolutely nothing for you except put your geometry at risk. 2.5" lift is perfect for these trucks. There are people running 37" tires on only 2.5" of lift. There's no need to go any higher. I strongly recommend you replace your needle bearing with an ECGS Clamshell Bushing. When lifting your truck it will put more stress on that needle bearing which can degrade it to the point where it starts breaking apart. Also don't forget to get extended brake lines for your rear. To minimize vibrations also look into the OME carrier bearing drop

NO your right, your not putting any added stress on the cv axles with a drop bracket lift. Instead your putting added stress on your driveshaft as well as your ego because you spent a lot of money on a completely useless lift that you can't even take wheeling.

Did not do the needle bearing. I think it’s the perfect stance without having to go up to 33” tires, but you can still stuff them in there though if you want.

Stock. No alignment issues; would have been iffy if I went up to 2.5”.

With a drop bracket lift you don't get any added ground clearance and you don't get any added wheel travel. If you plan on off-roading, stay away from this type of lift.

Let me guess, next your going to try and tell me that an All-Terrain tire with minimal sidewall on a 22" wheel will perform better. Don't let your truck nuts slap you on the way out. :jerkoff:

That guy just likes to argue for the sake of arguing.

He’s the same person that’s running a block lift and asking if you have to regear both ring and pinions. He’s hardly a resource anyone should consider seriously.

Toytec are ok but you don’t need a carry bearing drop or a diff drop if you stay under 3”. Some people use them and others don’t.

I’m running 3” on Kings without either of those and no vibes but I did the ECGS bushing replacement.

Each truck seems a bit different.
