I call that getting lucky

My knees are getting worse and I wake up half a dozen times a night from the pain anymore. Haven't got lucky in quite awhile now Hunting season is going to be interesting this year that is for sure.

 

Spending tax money rather than losing funding the following year most likely.....

exactly. in a dry winter they will salt the roads like crazy in VA for a dusting to not loose funding amounts and drive the trucks around all day to burn fuel

 

That goes for any municipal department, I bet. Last summer, my daughter got run over by a van on her bike (Guardian angel workin' overtime that day - no injuries!), and CFD showed up in a number of vehicles including a big ol' hydraulic ladder truck. Two blocks from the station.

 

Inspector found an error on the engineering page of the blueprint, needs to be fixed before we continue.

Ah the perks of helpin maintenace shop. Carter welded my dads lawnsweeper i broke. ugly weld but thin metal so he said he clumped it. but it cost me. I have to go in Tues. OT and help him do a planned machine repair. 5 hour job if all goes well. they gave us 6.5 hrs. ill paint it ole man never will know

 

We gots that back assward problem with regard to that. We get a couple mild winters and they reprioritize the funding elsewhere, then when we get more than a dusting (4+in) it’s a SHTF grid down 12 alarm call out the National Guard emergency. The municipal trucks drive around with the blades up cause they can’t afford to replace the wear edge.
