    True my wife's foot brushed up against one that was laying parallel to our walkway one night. It blended perfect with the rocks. Thankfully it did not strike her but turned out to be a nice sized 4 footer.

    My circle of hiking friends all fight to lead or be last because our ongoing theory is whomever is 3rd in line is most likely to get it. The first alerts the snake, 2nd annoys it, then the 3rd gets the strike lol
