So I was detailing the inside and noticed little scratches on the gauge cluster plastic/glass. I always use a micro fiber like cloth, but they still appeared, and you really only notice it when the sun glares onto it at a certain angle. Anyone know what to use to prevent them from coming, and something to get rid of the scratches?

Use a Swiffer, that cluster is so delicate.

What @shakerhood said. Just dust as lightly as possible, then you can use a microfiber cloth damp with cleaner.

I'm almost a year in with only one small scratch that was not from cleaning. This was my cluster from last weekend:

    It cleaned up perfectly.

Yup. We were lost on the last stretch to camp and I was snatching my friend along. Goofed up in the window department. What a fun cleanup. I actually need to clean the dust out of the vacuum.

Not a real CEL. I was just sitting with the key in the on position at the car wash.

Glad there wasn't an issue. I'm guessing it was fun getting that all out of the inside.

Oh man! It took a while along with a load of dirty towels for the effort. There were visible streaks on the seats as I was vacuuming. It was so dusty that the tent even got a rare wash.

I was hoping to get away without pinstripes on this trip, but that was a no go also. Thankfully, only a couple, but they're down most of both sides. Hahaha!

It was a great weekend trip though.

I bought the protector that another member put up on eBay. It's good quality and protects well, but I get random bubbles in the middle. It's worth living with to protect it until a better solution comes up. My 07 would scratch easily too so I jumped on the cover quickly.

Try this. I Purchased my Tacoma used with 16,000 miles on it and the gauge cluster was scratching like crazy. This took away about 60% of the scratches.9AB4C886-2A94-4A5B-97CC-CDEEC0892958.jpg
