What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Working on the wider stance and bigger wheels once the bank account is replenished!

 

Stretched her legs. First road trip (will be 3400 miles when done), and my first (very easy) off road adventure across Hagerman Pass outside of Basalt, CO with the new wheels/tires.

 

Replaced front brake pads on an ‘05 Tundra.



Smoked my lenses on my mirrors.

 

What did you use to smoke the lenses? I need to do this!

Now that the paint dried, I put my Jerry can back in the holder. I also added some camper shell weather stripping to keep it from rattling and rubbing through the paint.






Also gave Betty white a bath and once over with a torque wrench after last wheeling trip. Boy oh boy did she take a beating.

Hard to tell in the pic but there’s a slight upward curve to that.






This isn’t even the half of it but I wasn’t about to spend 30 min taking pictures of all the new dents and dings I got

........the smoked blinker lens. Need to do mine like that........when I manually wire those to blinkers and the pwr to the switch on dash( RC thing)

 

I believe that side curtain airbags were federally mandated starting in 2009. My 08 doesn't have them.

Looks like it might be time for a gas tank skid.

 

Yep, that's on the list. Right before the trip Joe was wanting to use my truck to design one, so the timing is perfect.

 

Yesterday. Added new wheels. Trying to set a record for the number of different shades of silver I can put on the truck.

 

These are what I found after seeing others post here. I didn't even try to look for something else. Very easy install, and work great!

i think i shot you a message seeking some clarification on that but didnt hear back from you so i said fuck it and went with it lol

 

I got the idea from a vendor, couldn’t justify paying the price $25usd shipped for 2 little strips of smoked vinyl. I’m left with a ton leftover for less than half the price...lol!

 

Added this under dash mount magnet.

I like the sound deadening on the windshield. But seriously let us know if you notice a difference.
