Quick question for you folks. I just picked up a new AR, and looking into optics. Narrowed my choices down to a Trijicon MRO or an Aimpoint Micro T-2. Any of you guys have experience with either of these? The price of the MRO is appealing, but the T-2 seems to get better reviews. Any info helps...

I like the Aimpoints, but the price is a bit HI for what you're getting IMOP. The MRO is a little bigger and about 1oz. more. Battery life is about the same. I have a couple MRO's, and that would be my choice again.

I think only the .308 is 18", everything else is 20" or 22".

I'm about to buy the same rifle. I looked at the 22" barrel American models, but the threaded barrel sold me on the Predator. I can get suppressors and muzzle breaks from work. Now to pair a scope. I have access to some high-end ones through work, but I'd rather find a mid-level model that I don't have to worry about scratching up in the woods.

Defenitely worth the threaded barrel. If I were to buy it again then I would go 6.5 Creedmoor for long range days. I am happy with my little $50 dollar 4x12 for the same reason as you and I truthfully don’t take anything over 75 yards anyway.

What are you alls thoughts on a Bergara B-14 Hunter for a North American big game rifle? Been hearing really good things about their barrels and actions. Most likely looking at a .30-06 chambering for its ability to effectively take down most big game out west where I live and ammo availability/versatility. Looking to have more of a “do-it-all” style rifle rather than a rifle suited to a specific task/type of game.

Had never heard of them but you made me check them out. Look nice.

Bergara makes really good guns and they have excellent reviews. As many know they made barrels for high end gun manufacturers for years. They do tend to be a bit on the heavy side (maybe above average) if you are one that is bothered by weight. After getting a bad back many years ago I’m very weight conscious with my guns so I’ve moved to Kimber, Winchester Featherweight, and a few others. I would not hesitate to buy a Bergara if I was in the market and weight (they are average weight to slightly above)wasn’t an issue. It seems they offer a lot for the money. Best of luck.

Yeah as far as I can tell from my reasearch the Bergara is about a pound heavier than other manufacturers’ “lightweight” models of similar quality/price. Definitely not insignificant. When I was handling one earlier today the thing that stood out to me was the stock. It felt much more rigid, and I’m assuming durable, than other synthetic stocks I’ve seen on similar rifles. My guess is that is where the majority of the extra weight comes in. Definitely a trade off for sure.

I grabbed one from grabagun today for $359. My LGC charges a $10 transfer fee. $359 + $7.99 shipping + $10 transfer fee is a heck of a deal.
Now, to find a scope! I too, won't be shooting out past 100yds unless during range days.

Was there a massive edit? I thought this thread was up to 1000 pages. Anyway, circling back to ask if anyone has purchased from GrabaGun here. I placed an order Friday morning and have yet to receive any confirmation email or shipping notification.

I've bought a few from GrabAGun. Never had any issues with them, Though anytime I buy online from any source, I pay, let my FFL know, then try to forget till my FFL calls. Last time I had my gun from GAG in a day over a week. GunBuyer has been a faster shipper for me.

Do any of you sell much online? I want to get rid of a dozen or so long guns but am a bit leery of selling them online. Just curious how you all handle selling them. We used to have a local publication that had a steady flow of locals but it’s long gone now.

Thanks. I may give that a try. I’m an idiot for buying so many guns that I’ve never even shot. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Oh well.
