A few pages back a guy was running them on an SR5 so I imagine the sport suspension should be good enough, which would be your potential problem spot if you're changing the wheels

Doesnt matter whether 16" wheel or 17" wheel. same outer tire diameter. See link below. 16" is 255/85/16, 17" is 255/80/17

Yea...man, I would have cried tears of joy if they worked. With that said, I love meaty side-walls so I'd have probably found a reason to run 16's

That's bizarre, as I know those tires run true to size in 315s

Km3 is a mud tire and is supposed to be released in January in the 255mm 80/85 16”-17” rim sizes according to what I heard from the regional BFG distributor local to me.

They air down great gives you a long tread patch.

According to an article that was linked somewhere on the forums they air down better than fat tires do.

You get a longer track like patch vs a wider patch.

If I were to change to some 255/85/16, from the 265/75/16 (I believe) on my 06 TRD OR, will this affect the readings on my speedometer?

Yes! I had oversized on my old Sierra and had a friend clock me when he had a speed trap set. Cruise said 80km/h and he clocked me at 87 or 88.

I got the 255/85R16's a week or two ago and the day after having them installed I put in the Hypertech Speedo Calibrator. I haven't been clocked by my friend, but I did test it with my GPS and speedometer app on my CrackBerry and it's an almost perfect match now.

I didn't actually test the difference prior to installing the calibrator, but I would have been going faster with the larger size for sure.
