What kind of lights you using for your fogs? I ordered yellow lamin x film for my yellow led fogs but looking at your truck I like the amber better on inferno. Not sure how amber would work together with yellow fogs though.

Newbie to Tacomas. Loving my truck four days in. Plastidipped the chrome badges today, sides and rear. I accidentally got some rubbing alcohol on the paint around the badges, and I think I took off some of the polish (that area doesn't feel as smooth to my finger as the rest of the door). Should I just put some more polish there? Any recommendations on a brand?

 

i like the yellow. it "pops" more than the amber. i thought about going yellow, but all my other vehicles have had amber fogs, so i kept the theme going.

i started with amber LEDs but the throw was pretty bad in actual fog, so i went back to halogens (i think Osrams, brighter than stock) and Lamin-X. i still run LEDs in my lows/ highs, i like the colour, but in the fogs i'll stick to halogen, since they're more a utility light than an "always on" type thing.

Where in New Orleans? I grew up in Metairie near the end of Transcontinental Dr. and the Lake.

 

I removed the Charcoal Filter from the top of my intake box today. It’s super restrictive when it comes to airflow. If you guys take a can of air and spray it through the filter you’ll see there’s very little airflow passing through it.

It’s only on there to pass the California Smog requirements and I don’t live in that s**t hole so it’s gone!!! Took less than 10 minutes. Just be careful not to damage your MAF sensor when taking the top lid off.

Haha It adds 100 hp so it’s totally worth doing .

 

Did the dreaded DMV drivers license renewal. Only took about 10 minutes and $40. Now good for another 8yrs.

 

Removed the Air Dam and tiny stock skidplate, added in the TRD Pro Skid Plate! That thing is pretty beefy.

 

Looks great, how was the install?, what did u pay for skid plate?.

 

Im in marrero aka THE WESTBANK! Im in metairie all of the time though since the westbank doesnt have much to offer haha

 

Skid plate was expensive, $395 shipped.

Install was quick. Removing the air dam and old skid plate, touching up a few underbody spots with some black paint, and putting the new plate up was a 45 minute process.

I like the Oil Filter Access panel, and the drain plug access hole.

 

Bet the Toyota sales girl was driving for a new commercial.
