I bought a Westin brush guard for my 2018 Limited Taco and had it installed today. The guys said that installation did not go smoothly. Glad that I paid the extra money and had them do it. It took several hours.

The link someone else provided you is where I educated myself as well. Tons of good information.

Also, you want a touch up wax, not a polish. You use polish when you have scratches to your clear coat or such to even things out and make the scratch less or unnoticeable. Wax is for the protection and probably is what you removed. No harm though over all. We all use rubbing alcohol on the paint at one time or another. Just car soap and water then wax touch up. Done.

Thanks for the info! I had no idea when I bought my truck that there is such a loyal Taco following. I was just looking for a dependable, midsize truck. Glad I stumbled upon this website and all the friendly, helpful users. And that I didn't end up in a Ridgeline :cheers:

Hi tuck Exhaust FalkenWildPeaks Blackout Badge
Brought my Printed TSB paper to my local toyota dealer today and did TSB tranny update and spoke to my service advisor while the technician doing the update using Techstream software if he can change my default 3 beeps change alert to 5 beeps... did it for free.

Hughes driving improvement.. 100% satisfied and hopefully will last

Also they found out about the HVAC Blower motor service campaign... for now is a back order.

The 17% Isopropyl Alcohol won't hurt your paint but will definitely remove the wax. I'd just rewax that area and you should be fine.
CAUTION! Rewaxing is contagious and before you know it you'll have done the whole truck!
    Welcome to the herd.

Collinite is what I use for waxing. Best stuff I've ever used and I ain't no spring chicken. Tried it after complimenting a fellow employee on how great his 10 year old truck looked. Asked him what he used on it and he said Collinite. Tried it once and never looked back. Stands up to repeated high pressure laser and detergent washes. Only wax I'll use.

Actually the technician who did the update didn’t put any so i called the service manager and told me that they will put the sticker for confirmation... i'm feel the trucks accelaration is pretty good.. i'll just gonna remind them once my 10k service is due and also the HVAC Motor Blower service replacement is available for install.

    Too much.
Finished my audio install (for now)! The Morels are now on their crossovers, the tweeters are installed, and everything is working fine now. Tomorrow night after my 15k appointment and TSB update, I'll put the seats back in.
