    Lol! I was gone forever.

It’s like learning to drive this thing all over again.

Well, I was so used to working around the way the truck drove before. Gotta rebuild that muscle memory.

The TSB states it's for the US market so I'm not sure if the dealership would get paid. I haven't had anyone come in and ask about the update ( small town and dealership). It would be interesting to know if anyone from Canada has successfully updated at the dealership.

I feel your pain, but a single month is not a long time on the MFG side.

I go in to the dealer tomorrow morning to attempt to get my truck updated. I indicated I had some surging and asking them to perform a health check using Techstream and apply any updated that are available. I am going to arm myself with as much data as possible (including the TSB with the manual transmission calibrations highlighted, highlights of this thread, names of dealers who have performed the update, and copies of invoices people have posted showing similar trucks that have been updated), just in case.

Our chances are MUCH higher at getting the TSB updated to specifically call out the manual transmission models if you contact Toyota Customer Service, complain about the driveability, reference this thread, and reference the manual transmission ECU calibration numbers in the T-SB-0058-18. Only a handful of us have, but we seem to be making some progress. A complaint to a dealer who reads the TSB and dismisses you because it says its for automatic trucks only never makes it to corporate, which is where the TSB's come from. You must call or email Toyota directly through Customer Service through Toyota.com. If the update is as good as others have stated, we need to pull together to make something happen.

I had my appointment today and no joy from Downeast Toyota in Brewer, ME. Refused to do the update and were insistent the update was only for AT and wouldn't listen to reason.

Well, that's discouraging. I was going to see if they would listen to reason the next time I went in for service. Did you ask them to do a health check?
Guess I could check with Central Maine in Waterville....
