That’s cool. Why 881? Not the stiffer ones (883?) because you got that bumper and plan to add a winch

Because they were cheap on CL haha.. 883's would probably be way too much till I get a winch too. If I get a winch and the 881's aren't enough I'll swap them again down the road. Got them for $60 though on Monroe shocks (not gonna use) so whatever, I'll throw them on my 5100's, then have stock coils and all my stock 4600's that I'll throw on Craigslist and see if I can get that $60 back. Basically have done it for free then

Exactly. Idk what the lifespan is on coils, but considering mine right now are 18 years old with 176k on them I'll take 3 year old ones any day of the week

I had 881s previously and only got about 1.5" out of them, with no bumper or winch (stock 4x4 v6 weight). Ended up having to adjust the 5100s to get another inch...with a bumper you're gonna have to do the same I bet, just a heads up...I ended up wishing I had gone with 882s at the time but just lived with it until I got Kings

Looks like I've got another interview at AutoZone. Oreilys sure has been taking their sweet time with letting me know whether or not I got the gig. They'll probably call while I'm interviewing at AutoZone with my luck.

Thanks man. I'm not even slightly nervous about doing interviews. All I do is tell them what Ive done to my truck. I just want to get back to working. And not at a restaurant. Made pizzas for 2 years, dont wanna go back.

At this point, I dont really care. I just need income. If I hate it, I can go back to my old job next summer.

Food and retail are the worst...I guess AutoZone is considered retail but at least it's in an area that you're interested in and you get to help some people that like to work on their vehicles. I've found most places like AutoZone are very hit and miss depending entirely on who they staff...so it'll be good that they're hiring you (if you take the job) since you know how to work on a truck.

Ive always had the belief restaurant are good jobs as long as its part time. Full time jobs at restaurants suck

I was part time. Could do everything in the store except open the safe. Still never made a penny over minimum wage. I felt really underappreciated so I went to working only 10 hours a week and cut lawns on the side until I quit. The manager calls me every now and again asking me to weld stuff for him. Most of the time I just tell him I'm too busy now.
