I am in the process of looking for a new aftermarket muffle. I was going to get the flowmaster super 40 but after reading some posts saying that you gain no power and actually might lose some power i changed my mind. I have read lots of good reviews on dynomax super turbo, so i checked it out on their website. looks very nice and the price isn't bad at all. But i wanted to know if anybody on here has tried any of their other mufflers like the Ultra flo? That design looks like it would be less restrictive since it is a straight through design. Does the design on the super turbo create more power for our trucks since it isnt a straight through design? Someone with advice please chime in.

oh BTW, im not buying a catback.

Super turbo here and it is awesome, not too loud and not too quiet. Plus my butt dyno says I gained some power:D

I agree with the Dynomax Super Turbo... I have heard more good things than any other muffler for a Tacoma.

I'm putting one on my truck soon. I have had a Jardine and a IMCO and both were way too loud with my header.

Dynomax has a new one that is pretty cool. Has a built in valve to help the truck stay quieter when just idling or cruising, but opens up when you give it throttle.

I have a Flo Pro Max and it sounds great, nice tone to it even for a 2.7l. It also has a 100 yr warranty, a all stainless steel baby! My butt dyno reads increased acceleration and top end speed.

I have the flowmaster 40, love the sound and I didn't notice any decrease in performace. If there was a decrease in HP it must have been very small and only able to be proven by a dyno.

ok, but at the same time ppl that have the superturbo say they have felt an increase in power. im not bagging on the flowmaster, i just want a muffler that will give the most increase possible ya know.

After reading this thread it peaked my interest...and I went and checked it out. Thought I would save everyone the trouble and just include the link to the actual muffler on Jegs.com. I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger on this one.

I have the wicked flow 18 inch.

It isn't too loud and isn't too quiet.

    It's just about right.

If you listen closely to the stock exhaust by the exahust pipe. It has a low rumble. The wicked flow just basically makes that louder. It makes your tacoma sound like it should, more like a truck.

I am satisfied with my wicked flow muffler.
