    The last sentence is why I have the GMRS, is because a bunch of guys that I wheel with got them and I said whatever and joined in... already have CB and HAM and taking the test for HAM this month and have two Baofeng handheld already to use... now will have all forms just in case... that and I hate CB and how annoying it can be.

    I got my GMRS license and radio in part because of something called the Channel 3 Project. And because I've heard from a handful of wheelers that GMRS/FRS is starting to take the place of CB.
