    but look at the size of his truck. he was running 7" taller tires than I am. plus he built it stronger than anything you can buy.

    it's just not always necessary.

    like I said I could be wrong on the size (I don't plan to pull a trailer anyways) but I'd just do about a 6" on mine where it sits.

    Its definitely not a regular occurrence for me, but when I'm hauling large amounts of steel, I'd rather have it loaded in a trailer. Especially 4x8 sheets of steel plate. Handling that stuff is a pain in the ass by yourself but I do it alone because I'm stubborn... so says my wife.

    @Sandytaco14 is the only one I can think of atm, but he's HSV not BHAM.

    also, for a shop...somebody in here will volunteer to assist in that area. don't waste money at a shop.

    I've got skinnies on my 2nd gen. Not sure if that helps at all but they've been great, especially when aired down appropriately. No issues that I can think of that I've had.

    Takes a little getting used to when theyre first installed. They feel a little squirrely on the road but you get used to it. Its really not bad.

    That's the plan if I do 63s. Ford shock towers, 14 inch smooth body shocks, chevy 63s, and probably limit straps as well. Thinking I'll try and do this over Christmas this year.

    So my original setup was Total Chaos UCAs and Bilstein 5100s w/ Eibach coils. Was at about 2 inches of lift. Rubbed the fender flares right out of the gate after install. Trimmed them up and I was fine. Then I did a little flex test. With the caster set at stock settings I was jamming my tire into my cab mount and my pinch weld. So I did the CMC and beat in the pinch weld. No more rubbing even at full stuff and full lock.

    @stronghammer can attest to the fact that caster plays a key role in what size tire you can fit. He was running 4 degrees and never did a CMC with regular 33s.

    what @Jerneyman said....high caster can keep you from cutting/beating too much.

    that being said I'm on 35s now and have a huge CMC cut and sledgehammered the wheel wells out lol.
