@Enjoihavok so I'm wondering since I'm gonna be a novice, should I just get a brand new Trek Marlin 5 for roughly $500 and avail of the warranties and free maintenance included or should I keep throwing offers at the two bikes you sent me? Pulling the trigger tomorrow when I get off work since I took all of next week off and want to start riding around.

That last pic with the pleather sweatpants the vette and the golden gun is amazing. If I was starting a burner twitter account I would totally steal that for my profile pick

I did not even notice the Golden DE. It’s like you just keep finding hidden treasures in this ad. Sadly more girls on that bike than have spoken to me in 2018.

Only thing missing is bars on the window or a couple bullet holes in the stucco.

I’d say it boils down to two things:
New with warranty and a great starter bike that you will know it’s condition and how it was treated, then gives you time to see how you like it and the hobby and can still sell to get most your money back.

    Or

You’re buying an older bike that has more bells and whistles, probably paying between 1/4 of what it originally cost. But it is a lot older, although upgraded parts they are used older upgraded parts and not the newest tech. You won’t know how it was maintained and if there’s any quirks until you put it threw it’s paces.

I’d say just get the trek new, enjoy it get use to it, see how much your using it and enjoying it and how much more you want to push yourself then look at investing in something more built, maybe take $100 loss at that point only.

I think they were the most detuned car out of the factory and it was still nice. This one has been tuned.

It was so hard. I have been looking for a long ass time.
