Thanks for the tag. So I was *this* close to thinking that I was crazy. That Mobtown sliders always looked like this and my observations were due to the perspective of pictures taken.....

I was checking the "deals and coupons" for Labor Day sales. And sure enough Mobtown has a 15% sale on. Cool! Started reading and it's been confirmed by Mobtown themselves that the "legs" extending from the frame out are 2" longer than they used to be.

In post #41 Joe says, "It was a year and a half ago. How you can tell is if you look down the side of the truck if the outer tube is sitting flush with the door then you have the old version and if it’s sitting past the The door you have the new version."

I've asked if the old spec is available.....not holding my breath.

Finally got around to modifying the spare tire area under the bed thanks to @Speed Freek. Moved the hoist an inch towards the hitch and am now able to fit my BFG KO2 285/70/17 with no issue. 20180828_100142.jpg 20180828_100151.jpg 20180828_100208.jpg

I think I've seen a simple fix for this somewhere on here with a bolt/plastic washer/wing nut placed in an existing hole at the cab side of the bed in the center. I'm going to have to look around for that one.

Just got same tires installed yesterday. Like them so far. Got a screwed up wheel in the process, but the tires are great.

I gotta question for you. I’m a newbie to waxes and sealants. Using this stuff what do you do about the black plastic trim? Not get wax on it or wax it up too

Wax will stain the black trim.

This stuff is top of the line for plastic

Yep. I've had them for almost 2 years. If you have an off-road you already have Bilsteins (4600) and ther is really not much difference. Any other model and the difference is significant.

No wax! The black plastic has a texture to it. If you wax that with Collinite you're going to hate yourself big time! It will be a nightmare to get off. Personally I just use soap and water on those parts. I'm not a big fan of protectants but if you feel the need you should use something like Armour All. Like I said soap and water works for me. I'm sure someone else can recommend something for those plastic parts.

Haha I wish..the pods on top of the bumper are Extreme LED replicas. Bajas that size were waaaaaaayyyy too expensive. They’re pretty bright so it’ll do the job
