Why not just get custom steel wheels made and avoid spacers?

Edit just saw your post at the same time.

Cheap and available. $300 a wheel saves us $500 over Trail Ready’s.

315/75/16’s are much wider than the Falken 35x12.50x17’s we were going to run. Tall and skinny, mostly for clearance with the fender liners we have to keep.
We have 5 now and should have 7 by race day.

ran the same exact wheel on my old truck for over 3 years. Never had a single issue. The 101's were the Methods all the big teams had issues with, and those are 6K lb trophy trucks hitting big shit at 90+.

Non TT methods were also blowing up on street trucks. Mainly NVs and Standards.

Well thats not a street wheel that @4Running Daily bought nor is it the race wheel that had issues which are now discontinued...buuuuuuut I currently have 9 NV's parked in the driveway, sold another used set of 4 to @JuansTaco back in the day and another used set of 4 to @PangTRD when I got my 105s and not one of them ever failed. Also had 6 Standards from the original release back in 2012, never had an issue. My dad still has 5 2012 Standards on his 250, all still good.

Long story, I've run a lot of Methods over the years, sold plenty more than that while I was working and out of all of those I have personally only ever seen one fail and he hit a VW sized rock at about 70, and those even had an OMF conversion...* but of course you're going to hear about the .01% that do ever crack one. Its like the Icon top hats. 1 bad casting run or material batch and now they all have issues.

Edit: *not including race wheels, we smoked our fair share of 101's in the 6100 truck. We also destroyed a handful of Walkers and a few KMCs. No wheel is safe on a TT unless its forged and even then its still not bulletproof.

I'm thinking I need 3 more machined NVs so I can toss some 37" Toyos under this little ho.

Could be swayed with a deal for 4 bronze or titanium variants.

depends on the tire. Falkens run skinny in general, 37x12.5 Falkens are like 12.2 on an 8.5 wide wheel. My 315/70 Toyos are right at 12.5 where a 35x12.5 Toyo runs 13.2.

Edit: just spent the last 10 minutes trying to find a pic of one of our destroyed 101's. Best I could do is the consequence of blowing a rear hub and running it for 100 miles before the driver noticed

My 37x12.50x17 Falkens are 9.5” wide on a 8.5” wheel. (Tread, not including sidewall bulge).
