I have everything to finish my subpanel project except the ground bar and I have to wait another week and a half for it.

My understanding is code says you need separate, non-bonded ground and neutral bars on a subpanel and they're only bonded at the main panel. There are no provisions for a main shutoff in any of the panels I looked at, so they couldn't be used as anything other than a subpanel. Why would they not come with a ground bar, then? It's a $4 piece!

I bought a GE panel because it was clearanced along with all the breakers, so everything was 1/4 the price of a Square D QO and it's actually pretty nice. Has a door and copper bus bars. Figures, though, that I could get the QO ground bar locally but not the GE one.

Well... I had to change mine out 3 times so I did get rather proficient. I'd be willing to help out. How urgent is it? My next few weekends are screwed, my project is coming to an end, kids going back to school, a wedding and a camping trip :goingcrazy:

Contemplating getting a DD again. Really enjoy driving the FJ, but filling up every other day gets lame especially when it's not being paid for my mileage anymore

Nice. I used to go there every year for the scca races. Did a few track days there too before they fixed the pavement when big Ben was a giant patchwork of different surfaces.

There's a little Martha's Vineyard life hack for you when you want to get something to eat and every single walk up place has a line 50 people long, walk up and grab the menu and call for takeout. By the time you get to the front of the line ( when you would normally just be ordering) your food will already be ready. I love using this trick.

I do that at a place in Dennis, Sesuit Harbor Cafe. Then once I have the take out bag I grab a picnic table out back since you seat yourself. Even better there though because take out doesn't have to wait in the 'normal' line. Has a separate area.

7a on the Vineyard has a separate take out pick up. I go in and refill my coffee and grab my bagel with lox (highly recommend) in and out in less than a minute.

Leaving early today... screw this- work is a nightmare today. Why do all my foreman have to be such drunks? Got a big half million dollar drywall job in Newburyport, I have 10 guys there going full steam ahead and my client calls and tells me he kicked my foreman off the job because he is drunk. At 6:00 in the morning- guy is hammered and apparently all bloody from some kind of accident or fistacuffs or whatever the hell black out happened last night to him. I'm paying these guys $45 an hour with a gas card and truck and they still can't keep it together. I may seriously look to do something different, commercial construction is getting near impossible to do with the labor force I have available. Now I have 10 guys on site that I have to pay for the day with no one to lead them. That's a $5000 loss for today not including the costs I'll incur for getting back on schedule. And I have no other foreman available to send this client. Makes it tough to enjoy a long weekend knowing I have a massive problem on my job.
