Do you think your insurance company would cover you knowing that you altered a safety device that may have prevented the accident.

I doubt it will be an issue since Toyota makes an OEM grill and puts the sensor in the exact same place

I have a pro girl but haven't installed my garnish yet (no errors at all unless it rains or gets dirty) So correct me when if I'm wrong here but, when you install the garnish you remove the area that the garnish goes on then proceede to install garnish in that area which then creates a larger "visible area" for the radar correct? So by applying these pieces of plastic does it not restrict its visibility to just that tiny section in the middle ?

My TSS works fine but it definitely doesn't catch things off to the sides (about 45degrees to left and right) as much as it did with stock grill.

I'm sure it works fine since mine does as well with no modifications but I feel like you're limiting its purpose.

I mainly installed these pieces of plastic to protect the sensor from rocks

The oe garnish also stops the build up of debris such as bugs, dirt, rain and snow so that the radar sensor still works properly.

@Mr. Projekt any update? Still working well? I just bought a faux pro grill from @FreshMexicanTaco and plan to run without the garnish with a similar modification to yours.

it did until a snowstorm.... I used the plastic as a template and swapped over to a thin metal strip and painted it black and no issues
