That’s pretty awesome, I love Utah and the SLC area. May even move there someday. Hit up Blue Lemon at lunch for me! Go Cougs!

    Back home yesterday.
The 200 last miles in heavy dust.
Checked my air filter this morning : the Donaldson Topspon pre-cleaner on the Safari snorkel works extremely well !!! Worth the money.

Very satisfied too with the new sumosprings on rear suspension, and about 750 lbs in the bed.

I used to change my oil in all my vehicles, but since it was free for 30,000 miles I took the Tacoma in to let the dealer do it. I got lazy and this continued until the truck showed 90,000 miles. I started changing the oil again and now have done it twice. I still had the oil collecting bucket from years ago. When I drained the oil at 95,000 miles the oil leaked out of the old bucket about as fast as it was draining from the oil pan. So 5 quarts all over the garage floor. The 100,000 mile change went much better. 68E1B854-C0AC-473F-8F6C-6265434D1D85.jpg

I also have new tires. I went from 255/55/17 Firestone Destinations to 265/70/17 BFG KO 2s. So for I really like the tires. image.jpg

Got the parts to hopefully fix a belt tensioner chirp in my dads '08. Toyota wanted $850 to replace the entire tensioner assembly, @Chuy made a great post on replacing just the bearing in the pulley. Gonna throw on a new belt too since the old one is original with 115k on it. Heres hoping tommorrow goes well, and that I can press this bearing in since I don't have a press. May get creative with a c-clamp and some chunks of wood.

When my wp was building a stalagmite of antifreeze behind the pulley and I replaced it, I ended up replacing the tensioner pulley, the idler pulley and 1 more because all 3 just spun freely and one was starting to have play in it. I just broke down and bought the whole things with the new bearings in them.

Used a 3M silicone paste instead of antisieze or chassis lube. Supposed to be good stuff and good hi temp qualities. Ill pull them in a few months and see how they are doing.

I have a cleanable cabin filter. Lifetime.
    Clean the dust every month.
    The best solution, I think.

K&N? I always thought that would make your cabin stink like the oil they use on their filters. If I remember, I'll blow my cabin filters out with the compressor at each oil change.

I like the idea of a resuable filter but I was worried about cleaner and or oil smell, so I just replace with a $15 dollar stp cabin air filter from autozone. Easy to change with no messing around with cleaning products.

The k&n cabin filter doesn’t use oil.

    Right. It's a dry filter.
I previously had that KN cabin filter on my 2008 Taco, very good and everlasting product
