With man hubs the only way short of twin sticks is to unlock one or both hubs

With ADD, this is better described as an ADD system defeat. The case gets shifted as usual but there is no signal initiating the ADD system. The front drive shaft, ring and pinion will turn but the pass side front diff stub shaft (disconnected) just spins, power goes nowhere. Assuming no front locker here.
This can be done in numerous ways. The 2 common spots are at the 4wd condition switch or the ADD relay behind the pass side kick panel.

I didn't think Morrison was that bad, but I certainly wouldn't want to go down it. I think that's what makes the 1st couple corners on Black Bear worse.

Yes, yes it is. The strength difference is not all that big of a thing. The real deal is where the weak spot is. Many times a man hub CV shaft will break in the man hub itself, damaging it in the process. Sometimes a little sometimes much more.

Finally get to replace those terrible Dorman tailgate straps that hang outside the tailgate today.

    Thanks @gunny1005!

The Dorman ones are so badly made they don’t stay inside of the tailgate section when you close it.

One is longer than the other in fact.

I’ll probably put them on my 5-lug. I bought it with rusted out and broken tailgate straps.

    You think that’s bad?

Have you seen the rest of it?

To get the rusty fifth wheel hitch that hasnt been used since the Clinton Administration out, I had to chisel two or three inches of solid concrete and mortar out with a big sledgehammer and a chissle.

Well it’s better than nothing. I don’t even have a tailgate on the truck right now.

Trust me you don’t want the Dorman ones. They’re bad.

It’s only $15 each from Camelback Toyota.

Straps aren’t equal. The OEM ones always stayed inside the tailgate and didn’t hang out when you closed it. The heat shrink covering the metal is already frayed.

Conversely, the OEM ones went strong for almost 20 years without showing signs of damage.

    You think I need a 4x4 truck?

I just made it 4x4 for shits and giggles. It’s been 4WD for almost a year and I have never used it yet.
