Never said anything about turning down an offering of beer, beggars can't be choosers. I'll drink just about any beer that's given to me.

If I'm going to buy beer though, I'm going to be more selective about it.

I will buy Bud Light Platinum occasionally, doesn't taste great but at least it's 6%

Same, so long as it's safe, and doesn't end up taller then I want it'll be fine. I'm sure it will ride okay too. It's an 18 year old truck, if I want it to ride like a Cadillac I need to stop being cheap and save up for real coil overs. Eventually

Honestly I think my 881s rode better on the street than my Kings do right now, but that's probably because I have 600# coils on them without much added weight (881s are 500# IIRC).

The 881s were real soft on the street and felt great even with E rated tires. Offroad though is where the Kings really shine through, couldn't go fast with the 5100s

Someone cut me off today on US-101 South. Here's some good footage from my Rexing dashcam, which I highly recommend.

Good lord I hate getting stuck on dumb shit when you're doing an easy project. Can't get the top nut off my second strut for the life of me and don't really know what to do. It was a little cross threaded when I put them on originally so I rethreaded it and put it together like a year ago. Now I can't get the damn nut off. Holding on to the top of the strut or the shaft of the shock with a wrench and vise grips and still it won't budge, just spins the shaft. Tried heating it with propane and that didn't help either. Neither did an impact. Much rage

That factory pushbar is pretty rare. So rare in fact that after a year of searching I gave up on finding one for my 92. I found some up close pics, drew a cad file and had a shop laser cut the sides. All I did was weld in the two bars going across. My first time welding, so it looks like pigeon poo, but I am happy with it. IMG_20161006_163539982.jpg

Oh man I just saw a 2nd gen Prerunner with AutoZone '4X4' and 'turbo' emblems on the sides...wtf

Unless he converted his 2wd to 4x4 and put a turbo on it...then that would be awesome

If it's advertised during the superbowl, that's a pretty good sign it's not, lol. It takes at least 4 or 5 silver bullets to even get a buzz.

There is an embarrassment of riches of good beers out there. Especially if you're in the San Diego, North Coast, or Bend areas. You can't swing a dead cat and not find a good brewery.

Back in my poor college days, my go to was Sam Adams or Sierra Nevada. I wasn't willing to go less than that unless it was in a keg and I was already drunk.

I was in Bend for my bachelor party (just me, my brother and couple of my best friends) and we spent 2 whole days going to different breweries and never went the same one twice. So much freakin beer up there for a small town.

I felt terrible for a solid 3 days after that though...there is such a thing as too much beer especially after you turn 30.

San Diego is the same way.

We have an office down there and we tend to get quite hammered when we travel there for work.

Sacramento actually doesn't have a half bad selection either. There's 2 or 3 withing stumbling distance of my office.

Even with my Kings, it doesn't ride like a Caddy...

10 Barrel and Sun River (a few miles south of Bend) are good. I like Deschutes, but you can get a lot of that stuff in most places.

Hahah I will drink a cold silver bullet, but if im gonna drink a lighter lager i go with a mexi beer like modelo or xx...I drank enough 24 packs of that silver bullet shit in college.

As a soon to be 40 year old, might as well pony up for some better shit.

Hell I used to buy camo 40s cause you could get 2 for $3 and be shithammered.

Guess those hipsters and their craft beer have worn off on me. They still try to ignore the surfer when I go to order at the bar lol I dont know what hipsters have against surfers but they sure dont like em.

I've never turned down a beer. I have my preferences, but hand me one, I'll drink it.

The exceptions I have are any beer with a fruit in the name. NO. I like beers with citra hops (or others) which give a citrus note, but you put actual fruit in my beer and we're gunna have words.

Come to my place, you drink good beer.

Life's too short for shitty beer.
