I may have to order one of these, cause I like the way Brian thinks. His diagrams are great and simple. No complicated wiring diagrams, just all the info you need.

Anybody had any luck finding a 3 position toggle switch the size of the center console switches? Not finding much on AoB or the others. I'd hate to dedicate 3 precious switch slots just to cameras.

I got the AoB DPDT Switch and my plan, on my 2018 AT, is the far right slot under the cubby spot to the left of the steering wheel. That right one is taller than the others

Yeah I've seen that one in the thread, looks perfect. Unfortunately I've got the Meso switch panels and they're all center console sized slots. Can't have it all I guess...

Bought the full front/rear kit from JJ a while back and just got around to installing this weekend. Really is a great kit, shame everything went down the way it did.

Really like the front camera view you have. Which camera did you use? Any pictures of your camera mounting?

So this was the camera that JJ sent out with his kit. I don't believe he ever actually revealed the manufacturer, maybe someone else could chime in here if they know. I'm attaching some photos of how I mounted it, but keep in mind I have the Xtec Designs grille which gave me a lot more options over the OEM TRD grille.

Truck looks great! Thanks for the pictures. Hope to install my camera system soon and hope to replicate your front view.

Thanks. Yeah this view makes the most sense for me. It was a pain in the ass getting the camera view straight without someone in the truck watching the screen though so I'd recommend having a helper.

Finally got a chance to install the rear camera kit. Amazing product and great customer service from JJ! His instructions he sent were super straight forward.

Sad to hear that he is no longer selling them. His support and response time was amazing.

Install took 5-10 minutes and was plug and play for the radio portion with very easy splicing for the switch portion.
    • Unplugged factory 28 pin male -> JJ harness 28 pin female
    • JJ Harness 28 pin male -> factory head unit 28 pin female
    • JJ Harness black <-> switch green (with butt connector)
    • JJ Harness red <-> switch red 1 (with butt connector)
    • Switch red 2 -> factory cargo green (with t-tap)
    • Switch black -> factory cargo tan (with t-tap)

I would just like JJ's schematic to do it myself. It seemed really nice.

I purchased the rear camera on demand harness from anytimebackupcamera and it was quickly shipped and excellent customer service with almost immediate responses to a few emails regarding install. Works great.

If you got the option for navigation to let you change it while driving it says you need a switch for that too. Can it stay on all the time? I wasnt trying to use a switch spot for that. Or can it only be switched on when in GPS? Anyone know?

If I am reading your question correctly, the answer is "no" you can't leave it on all the time. The switch fools GPS into thinking your not moving. so while the switch is on, the GPS is not tracking your path. You have to turn the switch on so the system thinks you're not moving. Your passenger, (not you wink wink), types in the new address. Then you turn the switch off again so GPS kicks back in and starts navigation to new destination.

I leave mine switched off (not moving) constantly and everything works perfect. Navigation and turn by turn are spot on.

As far as I am aware, it doesn't have anything to do with GPS. To the best of my knowledge it is fooling the speed sensors into thinking there is no movement.

Without the nav override, you can still use all nav functions while in gear but not moving. Once you start moving you no longer have access due to the speed sensors showing movement.
