Anyone notice a difference in the syncros? Shifting a bit smoother through range of gears ?

OBD Fusion will show the ECU number.

Yep. The only thing that I can explain there is that the motor was changing RPM / surging during shifts and was doing it inconsistently. With everything smoothed out, it is making the gearbox feel better.

    That's all that I got. . .

Another successful -12 to -13 update completed. With the BSing before and after the process was done I wasn't away from work for 20 minutes.

I am the one who performed the update, for another forum member. I've now done 4 updates (myself, 2 members, and a friend who "doesn't do forums")... I guess I could print up some stickers and put them on the trucks :D

Just got updated today from 4b11 to 4b13. Not life changing but a definite improvement. Truck is smooth from 1 to second and increased fuel mileage in a 75 mile drive.
Greens toyota in lex,ky was reluctant but insisted it be hooked up to techstream and checked for updates. Yee haw

I’m in BC and went to the dealer today. Told them I had the typical symptoms and wanted a health check. They took it in no problem and applied the update. See what a dealer will do for you.

Please. Every single person on this thread who has had difficulty needs to call Toyota at 1-800-331-4331 and file a complaint. Specifically mention the TSB number and the error in the heading saying it’s auto only. Nothing will change until they keep hearing about it. My phone calls have only lasted a few minutes and each one gets a unique case number.

I did it too about two weeks ago now. Hopefully everyone does. There are tons of manuals out there. They may not post on this thread, but there are plenty.

That’s awesome. You are the closest personto me to have a positive visit to the idiotship. Lol. If nothing else I’ll drive there. I love Kentucky anyway. I was stationed at Ft. Knox for 4 years.

Haha, a year ago. This Canadian in his black taco crashed the gates of Ft. Knox (they were open). Piled up to the Welcome hut and requested if we could drive around, yanno take a look see around. Shit, even took a number and waited to be called to the counter...which was way cool cuz there are some awesome photos and stuff on the walls which was interesting to read while waiting.

Got our number called and went to the wicket...buddy arc welder was looking at me like I had 12 heads. I mean, I know it was like 5pm ish and all...

Is it me? I was understanding that with proper ID and registration there was the Patton museum and shyte to check out.

Back on topic, I was B10, now B13

One day, decades past, some folks were stuffing fresh bills into an ATM. I was in an extra good mood and thankfully dressed in clothes that weren't hiding hardware. I asked if I could have some of that cash.

They looked at me really strangely, not in the good way.

I said, just kidding, and bolted.

That joke is prolly less funny in Kentucky?

Dood , they got some real nice roads in KY. It's a MT dream come true there.

You were B11 as I recall yes? Lol

I don't even know what that means...I have windows 7 on a 12 year old Gateway computer, that works most of the time unless I try and watch videos...
