Hey guys, I currently have Cooper Discovery AT3/31x10.50R15LT and they are close to needing replaced. What tires would you recommend? I live in Idaho and absolutely use my truck for off-road use primarily. I want something that is fairly quite has good sidewalls. I would really appreciate some feedback. I'm keeping with 15". I'm looking for a decent price, people have mentioned GEOLANDER, let me know!

    Thanks,

    Montana

Falken wild peak MT’s have been great so far, I feel the price is good for the quality. If your not feeling the MT’s the AT’s are also a good option.

Bfg ko2s are the best all around tire I've used. Currently running a set of 33x10.50r15s. normally I like to try different tires every time I replace them cuz you never know if something else is better, but Ive been so impressed with these, especially in the snow, that I might just get them again when it's time.

+2 on the BFG KO's. IMO the best all around tire, just get the E load rated tire. I've been running the KO's for more than a decade.

When my KOs wear out, I'll be tossing on some KM2's or KM3 (depending on what's on sale). The KM3's are supposed to be really quiet.

Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx is what I have. They've lasted well and have gotten me through a lot. Definitely would recommend.

ST MAXX is one beast of a tire, I'd be at $660 after rebate and installation. Not too bad eh?

Love my STT Max that I just got last week, 255/85r16 (true 33" skinny tire). Really aggressive AT tire and great on the trails. They are pricey though at least in that size, paid about $225 per tire (mounted and balanced)

I like the Toyos a lot but they are usually super expensive compared to other options. Nittos are too but I've never been a fan of them

I would honestly go with some of the tires these guys have posted but everyone has their seperare uses and every trail is different with different terrains. just buy a good set that someone has said above and once those wear out try another.

Ive heard good things about cooper ST Maxx, BFG KO2s, Falken wildpeaks, and Goodyear duratracs. so its honestly depends on you.

i had the discovery at3s before like you and enjoyed them as well. Got me through 2 foot of soft snow.

I have the Duratracs and love them other than the ongoing balancing issues. Seems they are a hit or miss for balancing problems. I’m about to take them off and put probably KM3’s on. That’s the only negative thing I have to say about Duratracs.

I have this same size on my truck now as well. Same KO2. They came with it when I bought it and I just swapped out the wheels. It’s my first time running tall skinnies and I like them a lot so far. I honestly wished I would’ve ran these all the years/trucks past when I was running 33/12.5 or 32/11.5. I wish there were more options in this size.

I've always been a fan of tall skinny tires. They'll outperform wide tires in 80% of conditions

I have duratracs on my Duramax, and granted it's not a fair comparison to my Tacoma with the bfgs, I've just been impressed more times with the bfgs than the duratracs. Not to mention the duratracs are noisy, they sound like mudders going down the road compared to the silent bfgs.

I’ve heard those wear quick and last around 20k. What about your experience?

I've probably got close to 40k on mine and they still have about 1/4" of tread left, and that's on a truck that has been a nightmare with alignments and has a lunchbox locker in the rear axle.

Guess on lighter trucks it’s not as bad then. And “lunchbox” diff lock?
