    Fished sunrise with a buddy, pretty sure his turbo blew in his eco diesel ram. We fished where she died for a few hours then had Federal Rangers come with a front end loader to pull him down the beach to the parking lot. Ended with a few small kingfish.

    I didn't want to try pulling that heavy lard 2 miles down the beach in 4lo.

    Since there is no tow company capable of towing a vehicle off the sand in the area, it's a liability for the National Park Service to leave an abandoned vehicle on the Wildlife Refuge. Free tow from the front end loader, the driver didn't even accept cash for a tip .

    Just broke 100k but who knows what the diagnosis will be. I watched Sparks and smoke spit out of the turbo at 5:15 this morning. Pretty sure it's a manifold, or turbo problem. But who knows what else was collateral damage. There was melted plastic everywhere on his engine bay.

    Since OP has disappeared, I bought a sweet custom wrapped surf rod today. 13ft, 3-6oz from a guy who tests rods for various companies. This was one he kept for 5 years and had rewrapped a rear ago.

    Shit makes me giggle as much as the thought of swingout bumper from Mobtown :anonymous:
