Yeah, that was my only real qualm about the 2nd gen RDX. I can definitely feel and see some of it's CRV bones. Other than that, great car and has been super reliable with good mpgs.

What tire do you guys like up here? Looking for something great on road, especially when it's wet and something capable off road. Was considering cooper Stt Maxx in 255/80/17 but there are reports they pull right, I don't want to do a cmc and they're damn heavy.

I havent shopped for tires in that size, but any Cooper imo is great and they're made in America. I've had their stt's, and their mtp's, and have been happy with the longevity and performance on and off road. I've also been happy with Les Schwabs house AT's and MT's. If you can go with load range C to keep the weight down. I run load range E/10 ply and while they're durable off road when aired down, they really affect your mpg. If you seldom hit the trail a LR C/6 ply would be optimal if offered in the size you're looking for. Check eBay for deals from the discounttiredirect store. They often offer $100 a pair $400+, and buy 2 sets to recieve $200 off. Discounttiredirect is a member here, it wouldn't hurt to PM them and see what they can offer you.

I've never experienced pulling to the right with a certain brand of tires. Id look at other issues that would cause the pulling like alignment, worn out tie rods, failing wheel bearing, sticky brake caliper etc or other factors. Tires can be manipulated to perform correctly, although there are always bad ones that just won't balance or ride as they should.

I don't have a dog in that fight, but it appears they've left quite a lot of prepaid customers empty handed. "If" the speculation/rumors are true, it's going to get ugly and IMO result in the end of what I considered a homegrown Fab shop that put out great products. With their recent group buy offerings I'm baffled at how they are seeking investors weeks after collecting $20k+ in deposits from people. Their response explains personal problems as the reason for delays, not financial problems.

I run the STT Maxx but in 285/75/16. Have worked quite well in everything Ive used them in. Havent had any issue of pulling to the right or anything along those lines.

20k doesnt exactly go far when you are paying for a building, workers, power, ect, ect. And financial problems could have led to the personal problems...or the opposite. Struggling with money puts a strain on relationships. Same having issues in your relationship could lead to the financial issues.

But wait and see. Though some of these people commenting sure are experts at running a small business :)

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I have that exact size. It does pull right no matter what I do with them.

    Good statement.
I'm figuring I'm about to put myself in a ban risk. All of those ignorent jackasses that can't understand it's Paid and the difference between Sell and Sale. Hard to take any of them serious.
I am hoping for the best for the Pelfrey's and the business.

Now, to get this in before the potential ban, I am planning a Gallagher Head Lake run mid next week. Trouble is, I won't know the exact day until Saturday night when my overtime gets assigned.
Taking my dad up there and was thinking about making a big pot of chili. Maybe a potluck idea if anyone else is up to it
Would be between the 11th and the 14th.

May just have to plan a potluck trail drive for some weekend. I think it would be fun.

I personally haven't run them, but I know a lot of guys that are and like them. I don't think you would go wrong with them. I have run the Cooper MTP and would have gotten them again if they had them in the size I wanted.

I figure this will have to be trial run! :)

    Trial chili too...

My non-work is opening up soon but work calender is getting busier for a bit. I'll try to find a good (weekend) day and someone can pick a trail and we'll make it happen!

Honestly the only decent tire offered in that size IMO is the Nitto Ridge Grappler in 255/80/17. I have a set and I've been happy with them in that size.

Read too many bad things about Coopers, and I don't think KM2s are a good choice for a vehicle in the PNW that spends most of it's time on pavement.

I loved my STMaxx i had on my old 4Runner in the 255 variety. Quiet, balanced well, no pulling that I noticed. They handled every road/trail/weather condition well. Once my Wildpeaks are done I’ll probably go back to those.

255s MTs suck on the road and esp in the rain. I love my nitto ridge grapplers. Great on the road and in the dirt/snow.

55lbs. I haven't noticed really any power loss with these 33s.

Thanks, that's what im looking for. We're into road tripping and getting to hard to reach places for camping/scenery so I'm trying to take an honest look at what I need in a tire. A skinny 33 seems to be a great way to minimize mpg loss while increasing ground clearance and capability. Haven't ruled out something in a 32 either tho.
