Deers can actually see dull color, yes their eyesight is considered to see in mostly black and white but because they have the ability to see color, the ultraviolet spectrum is a hyper color to them they see it over all others.

Forgot to mention, I'm up in Gaylord Michigan right now. I hit Aspen park to jog the single track in the morning with my Doberman. Great workout. Anyway, there's an Elk reserve right by the park. All the bulls where laying down right next to the trail I ran. Must have been 10 or so. Man, they are big. Would be awesome to be able to hunt one someday. I'd never have to buy meat again haha!

Arrows are all black. Easton Axis 5mm (formerly Axis ST's). Been leaning towards the copperhead crest, well, 'cause they look sweet, plus I'm hoping there is enough orange and white for visibility when it's all bloody and sticking in the ground!

Orange and white are my preferred colors too. White wrap and orange vanes.

You could also do more of a white wrap too. That way you can see it easier and evaluate the type of blood you have when you slam a nice one this year!

Went and sat yesterday evening in the blind...heard some crunching but nothing came through. Stupid neighbors dog was barking but Im sure its constant so the deer dont give a flip....just annoying to me. I wanted to stick an arrow in the dog just to shut it up.

Nothing worse than an untrained dog. I can't stand when dogs bark like that.

I dont know how people dont get annoyed by it...If they bark for a reason its usually minimal and ok but constant barking and yipping is annoying.

Smug, pretty sure those are the wraps that originally came on the Easton ST's. Would love to find those wraps. I had fletched mine with white and green and they really looked sharp.

Just a brief interlude here.... I live in Marietta, PA. If you google WGAL or Pennlive, you can see what has happened in this area. Yesterday bands of rain slowed over this area and we got anywhere from 6-10" of rain in several hours in about a 5-6 mile radius. Never saw anything like. Folks flooded out that aren't even near streams. So, some prayers for those affected here would be great. Thanks.

Sorry to here that. No doubt that our area on the east coast has taken a beating this year. We have had more rain just this summer than all of last year and we have even hit hurricane season rain yet. We may not get many direct hits from hurricanes but we definitely get a good amount of rain between now and winter. We’ve had some extreme flooding in our area multiple times this summer. We need the rain, but not all at once.

Yeah we get the opposite here. Basically no snow and just rain. We used to get decent snows but not in a few years.
