I really like my pelfreybilt stuff. However, this indicates that they were operating in the red somehow. They take payment before manufacturing/delivery and therefore the only way to operate in the red in this sort of situation is to be spending way too much money as a business which implies (as a family owned business) undercharging or overpaying yourself.

Or using company funds for personal lifestyle upgrades. I use to work for a company that did shit like that. Never knew anything was up until I landed the company jet in Dallas only to be met by the police and a repo man.

I am not in the loop as to what this certain roadbump is, but Tyler and Satin are not the type to do anything close to the above.

If undercharging is what they do with their products I would hate to see what is considered even.....

Right now, I am going to wait until I see what else is released before I make any judgments or grab a pitchfork. So far they have went above and beyond for me so I hope the future is good. Only time will tell.

What hardware do you have securing it? I’m hoping for a method not requiring a standard nut on the inside that can’t be reached.

So if you wanted to take it off you'd have to pull off the bumper? Or am I overlooking an access point that you can get a hand in there to hold the nut?

I installed the plate when the bumper was off the truck prior to install.

If the plate redesign is every 3-6 years, having to pull off the bumper doesn't seem like too much of a hassle, to me.

End of the day, whatever the case they needed new customer orders to pay for the previous customers orders. That is starting to look like a Ponzi.

I drilled and tapped the bumper so the bolts are removable.

Or to speculate like everyone else...There was a post recently by Satin saying that her and Tyler were going through some tough personal issues. This to me says they may be getting a divorce and are 50-50 partners. One wants out, and the other now doesn't have the funds to run the business with just 50%. Or they have been sued by someone. Just my thoughts. Hopefully it works out for them. I have their stuff and never had any issues with their customer service or the product and it would be a shame to loose them as an option.

Rivnuts. Threaded inserts that install like rivets. No need to access the back of the bumper. I filled two extra holes below the ones already there. Installed four rivnuts and done.

I dont remember my Pelfrey bumper came with holes for license plate. I bent a 14ga metal plate, drilled and slotted some holes. I can just loosen the fairlead a little bit to slide it on.

How often do you guys change plates? Seems like a lot of worry put into a tiny problem that might come up every few years if you move a lot.
