My friend with the 370z showed me the curb rash on his front rim. And then I noticed all the tires are different.

If I’m reading this DOT date code right, this RR tire with a date code of 0505 was manufactured on the 5th week of 2005. The RL tire has no date code, the FR tire with a date code of 4208 was manufactured on the 42nd week of 2008, and the FL tire with a date code of 2010 was manufactured on the 20th week of 2010.

Am I reading these date codes wrong? It doesn’t make sense. This is a car that was made in 2015. The date codes on my truck make sense, 3217 or the 32nd week of 2017. Also my 5-lug, 3116 or the 31st week of 2016.

 

Last day of vacation #2 in Vegas, #1 was Pismo which of course was the best. Here for knife show. #3 will be my last & will be in San Fran/Berkely.

Yeah but unfortunately not really to have fun. Lil brother is getting married & flying up for the weekend. I kind of miss driving my truck up there when my lil bro was attending Berkeley.

 

In other news, got the tensioner bearing and serpentine belt replaced in my dads truck. When we first started it up it was still chirping but when he returned from a 20 minute test run the chirp was gone. Im at a loss, it could be fixed or it could not. Ill just keep an eye on it. Definetly wont take it to the dealer if it persists, may try another shop.

 

I had some Dodge RAM shocks laying around from when I built this thing, but I just threw them out. If only I’d known. Haha.

 

I have this chirping on my 5-lug at random times from apparently the throwout bearing. It drives me crazy. Apparently that’s normal?

 

@gearcruncher would probably beg to differ. Throw out bearings shouldnt chirp.

 

Really? I’m just going off what everyone told me when I asked about. I have no clue.
