4 linked coilovers, fully locked (JB weld in diffs), and a cutting board skid plate.

This was back when I was experimenting with noe springs and super thick shock oil. It would squat down for super low CG. I've since put some chopped springs on and thinned up the oil.

I originally built it to scratch my "wheelin' itch". But now I have my real truck...

    Built not bought, lol

Mine started out as a Wheely King - but the only ting left are the axles and trany. I bought it and ran it around in stock form for a day or so. Almost felt like keeping it and getting another WK to turn into a crawler, it was pretty fun to drive.

Mine started out as some 100$ ebay rc car. Now its probally worth less then that with 5x that worth of parts in it.

I want a axial honco but cant justify buying one unless i could sell this one

It chirps all the time at random intervals. But usually when I’m driving it.

Makes sense. So I’m right in saying those tires really are from 2005?

    Wow.

Just go get some steel brake line and build one:

I think it was a total of like $20 in brake lines, $20 for the MAPP gas torch, and $15 or so for the tube bender and cutter.

The 4 links are made from all-thread and aluminum tubing.

I didn't bother to read the code or translate it, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I don't want to think about how much money I've put in this thing. I'm sure that I exceed a grand so far and it's not done. I have been building it on and off over two years

I typically work it for an hour here and there in the winter and put it back on the shelf. The only thing left is to solder the wires on to the speed controller for the battery. I ran out of wire.

yep. It's pretty easy. The tubing is small and thin, so it doesn't take a lot of heat to get a good solder.

I used a rat tail file for the tube notching.

Gotcha. One date code translates to 2005 if I’m not crazy, which means it’s 13 years old. He bought it used so who knows what the last guy did.

I miss the trucks with the outside bed rail. None of the modern pickup trucks in the US have it. It’s so convenient.

Lots of foreign trucks have it to this day. Nissan Navara, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, etc.

I saw the double cab kit and was tempted to buy a second kit, but the dollars one can have tied up in RC stuff can get pretty crazy.
