    New 2018 here. Just noticed this piece of rubber hanging off my tail light. Anyone know what it is?

    Is it some kind of weather stripping or backing that fell off the back side of the housing? It's stuck between the housing and the body and just kinda flapping around.

    I haven't been in an automatic car wash for a decade or more, so I'd never have recognized the material they use for the rollers.

    It’s definitely the material from the car wash rollers. It’s not rubber. I run mine through the one at my old work all the time and have had them stuck in my drivers side tail light Atleast 3-4 times
