Classic longtime marketing lies with air compressor HP ratings. There was a huge lawsuit yrs ago. The ratings are better these days but still lies, no a days many of them will say "peak hp" now.

If that thing is running on 110V, no way in hell a 15A outlet (or even 20A) can run a true 6HP motor. Even if it's running on 220V that motor still ain't no where near 6HP.

You can’t put it back together though

Once you have it apart, it’s more effort than it’s worth to put it back together.

Yes I bought it with an automatic drain on the bottom. I hear it hiss everytime the compressor turns off.

Probably not. I’m still happy with it. American build quality, and all U.S. made parts.

    It’s older than me.

I wouldn’t own anything from modern Campbell-Hausfeld though. They went in the ways of Craftsmen, and their products are now sold in Walmart from the finest Chinesium.

Back from Vegas now. Spent $1700 on 4 knives & a pair of titanium/carbon fiber chopsticks. I'm not a gambling man but I lost $220 on slots.

That wasn't including all the trip expenses & other little things I bought. I don't really like Vegas but still had fun as hell but I'm sure glad to be home now.

Crazy how popular they got. I never intended to start selling them, I posted a video about it on here about two years ago and people started asking me if I could make them a setup. I got the idea from a late night YouTube video of a setup on a Lexus IS300.

    And the rest is history.

Compared to old Craftsman? Yeah, no.

I’d compare modern Craftsmen to Harbor Freight.

Yup older CH weren't bad and any air compressor is better than none. I can't live without an air compressor.

I currently have an older 60gal Harbor Freight that is made in the US, same thing as a Bel Aire by ABAC. Picked it up for $245 from a Ducati shop that burned down, compressor lived outside under a roof. I had an older 20 gal Craftsman (made by Devilbiss) before that, sold it for $200. Then I found a brand new 17 gal tank for $50 shipped & it's connected to my 60 gal. Had this setup for about 10 yrs now, still running strong, still no signs of rust when purging. I purge it once a week no matter what & more often when I run it a lot. I keep my system always pressurized.
