I checked out that long camper thread and its full of useful set ups. I have been shopping for an air mattress but they all seem to be between 73"-75" long.
I picked up this air mattress at Walmart https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/intex-twin-comfort-plush-airbed-with-built-in-pump-13/6000148921143 and it's perfect because it has a built in pump which can work on the 110 outlet at the rear of the truck.
The problem is that the mattress is approx 75" long. My bed with the gate closed is 72" and I am concerned that closing the gate will put too much pressure on the air mattress.
if I open it and inflate it, I can't return it so I'm looking for anyone who has had a similar experience.
Then I came across this which is made to fit a Tacoma and it's 76" https://www.amazon.ca/AirBedz-PPI-1..._1_52?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1535900070&sr=1-52
    Any thoughts?

I have a twin size air mattress. Fits perfectly with tailgate up. Not sure of the brand, bought it years ago.

There are several 72" air mattresses on Amazon: search 72 air mattress.

Hi do you have a brand and model? Any idea what the mattress length is when inflated?
    Thanks a lot!

Norm Abrams has often said "measure twice, cut once". I looked at the info on the Walmart website, it says "Dimensions: 39" x 75" x 13". So, lets see: 72" bed, 75 in mattress. You do the math!

So what you are saying is that 75" - 72" is 3" correct? You are really good at the maths. I thank you for this constructive and non trolling post. You are a true contributor to this forum and others I'm sure.

I think its a Coleman. 72" long. I bought it a few years ago before Sport Chalet closed in the states. It has been surprisingly durable. I've taken it on a bunch of truck and motorcycle camping trips.
