Looking for a suspension upgrade with a3-4 in lift. I’ve got quite a bit of weight in the bed with the rack, tent and a slide out drawer. When loaded up and any passengers its too much weight on the back. So any recommendations for a lift that also increase load capacity without spending more than $1,300? Thanks!!

If you want to increase payload properly and legally you will need a truck with a higher rated payload.

That’s what I was afraid of. Would addinv leaf help? I’m not as interested in lifting.

AAL will help and leave the overload in, there’s 1 and 3 AAL which will raise it 1.5”-2” over stock and it’ll settle back some with your weight.

Also, you can get a heavy duty pack, but you’ll lose payload without the overload spring

Payload is what the manufacturer rates it, cannot not be changed. However you can add air bags, helper springs or heavy duty leaf packs that will allow you carry more weight safely. But legally your still stuck with what the trucks payload is from the factory.

My recommendation would be an Old Man emu lift, with full Dakar heavy duty rear leafs.

    I have this suspension.

You can get an OME kit with heavier coils (886 I think) which comes with a rear Dakar leaf pack good for 3” and 500 pounds constant load. The whole kits costs about $1200

3” is the max height you can go on these trucks unless you get one of those weird 6” lifts that change all your framing under the truck and also act as a snow plow (don’t get one of these, they are not practical) 1.5-3” will net you the optimal performance for daily driving and trail riding. With your budget go with a full OME kit this includes shocks all the way around and leafs. Check out low range Offroad on the Goog

I was looking at the low range off-road ones actually. I’ll take a look at the OME kits as well. Like I said. I’m more interested in help with the weight and a lift secondary. With the rack and tent and drawer alone I’m pushing 500 lbs. thanks guys!

With that much weight the medium kit feels very nice. All aftermarket shocks will be stiffer than stock for the most part, especially before the 500-1000 mike break in. Just know you will likely want to have the ECGS clamshell bushing in stalled to replace the driver side CV needle bushing to avoid vibes. There are stock load bearing options out there as well to keep the factory ride height

Wtf? Legally? I put 900 lbs of bark chips (in 25lb bags) in the back of my short bed with a bed rack when I had the full OME heavy leaf pack and it drive like a dream and only sagged 3/4”

The low range website is not the one I thought it was. What’s the weight difference between the medium and the heavy OME kit. They are the same price on the website.

the heavy will allow you to keep a constant load of 600lbs in the bed and keep 2.75 inches or so of lift.

    this is what id recommend

Guess someone up there hasn’t figured out that these trucks can’t even carry what they’re rated for decently without putting aftermarket parts on.

Working on it, dissent offroad racks, shift sense pro, pedal commander , ARB twin, rigid SS dually's , dual batteries, ARB fridge , 2.5 Fox coil overs wResi , 2.5 Fox rears w resi Total chaos UCA , deaver packs , Nitto trail grappler's 33" .
1300 probably is a stretch...but go with 5100 bilstiens all around get OME coils up front , pick which will be best for your front weight.
Dakar’s HD in rear, leave overloads in.
This will help the sagging and keep it level. Get a quality UCA , Camburg , total chaos etc .,. Should take care of your issues .
