How is night visibility through the windshield?

 

Also would like to know the answer to this. What percent is it?

 

I have 3M Crystaline 90% on my windshield. Basically clear with huge heat reduction. May go to 70%

 

I think he said 50 on the windshield and 20 on the sides.

 

50 percent ceramic. Around town and lighted areas can’t even tell it’s tinted. Back country roads you can for sure tell it’s darker, but it’s not black or anything like that.

With the low beams on its completly fine on back roads, high beams even better. I'll admit I wanted to go darker and the wife talked me out of it. With gettin 20 on the sides it darkened the whole truck up.

She’s gettin her t4r 50 on the front after driving the taco yesterday and last night, I think most of y’all would be fine. Crystalline makes a 70 that is no shit clear, can’t even tell it’s tinted and it cuts out like 90-95 percent of heat. That was an option but I wanted the darker look.

Driving pic through the windshield today and my truck tinted compared to my father in laws none tinted sport.

 

Il try to get a pic more side by side. My truck is alittle ahead of his in the shade, may look a touch darker then it really is.

 

Yall have me curious on this windshield tinting now. Mine has always cooked me on road trips. I did all my other windows myself with SnapTint about 4.5yrs ago but the driver side needs redone now anyway too.

 

I bet if ya get it done you will thank me later haha. I’ve heard about it for years but it was super illegal up north. Learned real quick living here they don’t enforce the tint laws and it makes all the difference cutting out the heat.

I used to use a window visor chrome reflector in the second gen cause my leather got so hot. Now with this window tint I don’t event need it and it’s cooler inside.

 

Anyone know about what a set of stock 17” 4Runner wheels would be worth or what the going rate is for a set.

 

i got a set of SR5 TR4 wheels off craigslist for $200.. They ranged anywhere from $200 to $350

Pondering this. Spendy AF, but abilty to use ON and OFF road adds value...

 

I use my cheap knockoff bar on the road all the time. Just flip it off when there is an oncoming car. Only need it on those back country road late night drives anyway.

 

I am thinking for my cross country trip- this december. Would need to be 100% legal on interstates for all states.

It is very expensive though!

 

Rigid makes the best though. Buy once, cry once.

 

This is what I am thinking. Cheaper and ljkely better than most 2nd gen LED /projector headlight upgrades.

Looks good... Been thinking about doing the same, 50% on the windshield and doing 35% on the front windows to match the rear. I've just seen too many tint jobs where it it kinda looks purple, and I definitely don't want that. The 3M Crystalline on your truck looks pretty color neutral
