    I don't have any copper on there now. I have galvanized from the heater to the valve and then pex all through the house.

    A few bolts are different.
    use the flex pipe off the water heater to go to your other pipe. Works great and since its flexible if something happens to your water heater it is much more simple to put in a new one because you do not have to cut and redo piping.
