So I hooked my bumper on a wooden post this morning, and this is the result. Basically, I'm looking at upgrading to a high clearance bumper, something that is a little more robust than OEM. I'd like to have recovery points, and I need to keep a hitch, whether that is the OEM hitch or integrated. Any suggestions? A direct frame bolt on would be ideal.

A little more info... The truck is an 11' DCSB TRD OR. 3 leaf rear springs, Stock suspension with just a hair under 100k on it. Most likely won't be doing anything in the near future with suspension. The truck also has an ARC topper on it. I'm hoping I can add a little more weight on the back end without sagging. Several of the mounting points on the right side of the bumper have torn off from the frame. I'm about 95% sure I'm going to take it to a body shop and have the repair work done, as there is some damage to the bedside as well. If it doesn't cost too much more than an OEM-style replacement, I'm going to see if they'll replace the current bumper with an aftermarket one.

Ouch, sorry OP! One suggestion- People that ask for heavy addon suggestions should include their location, shipping considerations are a big deal in the equation.

But if that doesn’t matter, Mobtown is having a 15% sale this weekend. That’s like free shipping.

Yeah, it’s 7 weeks out from pheasant season and I’m hoping to have everything back together by then. So turn time is another factor... Just trying to make the best of a shitty situation, and I'd rather not throw another chintzy ass OEM bumper on to get destroyed again.

    That’s exactly what I would say :)
Good luck. Look at DV8 offroad, they have a great rear and front bumper .
I believe they are in stock also.
The rear is nice powder coated and extremely reasonable on price.
I’m going with rear for sure and maybe the front .

I wouldnt say the ebay rear bumpers coating is "nice" but for the price you can get a lot from it, as long as it fits okay....

DV8's rear bumper is the same exact as the forbidden allpro offroad rear bumper for the second gens. They didnt design their own anything. And ko offroad sells them all on ebay under different seller names but its all from Dv8

So far it’s looking like the 4xInnovations is going to be the best for the money. I live an hour and 40 minutes from their shop, turn time is a week and it’s substantially cheaper than some of the others, plus a rated hitch and integrated trailer hookup location.

Yeah, it would be a bit of a gamble. I’m going to file a claim to get it fixed, I’m assuming the shop I’m gonna use would let me pay the difference on aftermarket bumper, my insurance policy states they use oem spec aftermarket in place of oem to cut costs, so I don’t think it’ll be a problem, hard to pull the trigger not knowing tho

If you have a bid your insurance company should cut you a check.
At least mine did on my Tundra :).

I did tell my insurance that I wanted to pay the difference and get a more substantial bumper. They had no problem paying for the OEM
