I got a 20 dollar piece of berber carpet and installed it under my Bakflip G2 cover. I can post pictures if you want.

I had to return the Westin mat for my 2017 Off Road Short Box because it didn't quite match the angle where the bed narrows for the wheel wells. This caused the mat to be half an inch long. I was in disbelief...just stared at it for a couple of minutes after fighting with it. The Tacoma Gods mocked my generic mod! Thus, I promptly returned it, ordered the OEM mat that has "Tacoma" proudly stamped on it and rejoiced when it fit like a glove. Another 1st world problem solved by throwing some cash at it.

Seriously, OEM mat all the way...no contest!

When I wash my truck, I pull out the bed mat and all weather floor mats. Dribble some soap on them and hose them off on the driveway. Let them dry in the sun. BAM! Brand new again.

I might have to steal this idea. Is that an OEM cover?

I found this net on Amazon for 12 bucks. It is super easy to put on and off and I can slide our luggage or golf clubs under it. I have a cargo bar on way, so I guess I pretty much made myself a grocery getter.

Do you have a link for that net? How is it connected to the rail system?

The OEM bed mat is awesome. It's one of those things that I would buy again if I needed to .... even if it doubled in price.

I use horse stall mats for my garage gym flooring. While I agree they are awesome ... they are quite overkill for a truck bed.

I called the dealership and ordered it from them, as the price on Amazon was higher at the time.

I second the opinion of the OEM mat. I bought one for a long bed from a guy at work for $20, took it home, got out my circular saw, and proceeded to cut it to size for my short bed, albeit with LOTS of sparks as the inside of the mat is a stainless steel mesh! And NOTHING moves when placed on it!

I like that OEM bed mat. I will probably get one of those after the holidays and the holiday bills.

I got a horse mat from Tractor supply because it was $28. I've also used pieces of used mining conveyor belt.

Thanks to everyone for the great advice. Especially for hooking me up with @gunny1005.
I ordered the mat today and also ordered the cargo net from Amazon

I like the idea of a bed mat to keep me from killing myself when I climb in the bed, especially when there is water on the bed. However, bed mats, no matter what the make, have a habit of growing legs and leaving your truck when you are in the store. I wish someone made a bed mat that would fasten to the bed.
