    To each there own

I myself would use a 4 1/2" grinder with a cutting disc before a chop saw

I have, but I paid 25 for the used chop saw. No bandsaws came close to that price. I still want a bandsaw, not saying they aren't the better tool, but the chop saw works just fine for what I need. When I'm not on a tight budget and have a decent space, I'll get one. The chop saw will still have a place in my shop

Years ago I had a friend who had not really gotten the vise tight or forgot on a chop saw

The blade exploded His 14 year old son was not so lucky.

I went to school with his younger sister

The father is passed away now after that he would never touch any tools not even a wrench

So maybe that makes me a tad paranoid

Plenty of guys have made plenty of money with just a chop saw. Nothing wrong with them at all.

Plus you own it so why buy something else if you don't really need it. It's kind of like when snobby mechanics make fun of the guy using harbor freight tools when they are writing huge checks to the snap on guy every month on credit. Both are getting the job done but ones in debt and the other keeps his money.

Course when I build a shop it'll have a bandsaw but it'll also have a nice rack to set the long pieces on.

I weld my hitch balls solid as well.

I can never find stainless hitch balls around here. Jealous.

Last minute buy at Homeless Despot along with an adjustable drop hitch that I ended up modifying anyway.

Lol. I just found one last week in the road.

It was a race between me and another guy. He lost.

Modified cargo carrier. Wanted to make sure it didn’t drag while off roading.

It’s super lite. Yes, you would have to remove it to get inside. I have two 120 plus pound dogs that take up the entire bed area. So when we get where we’re going. Unload, take hitch out and place to the side and it’s all good. It should work for MY needs.
