I would think with the proper tune 450SHP would be a reasonable expectation. Twin turbos are going to take forever to spool. Twins may not be needed, plenty of boost and faster spool time with single turbo with a intercooler. Still would need 5,000RPM+ for maximum HP.
No grill obstructions of any kind when running a intercooler.

Depends on how it's set up. On the BMW 335i I had, first turbo was fully spun up at 1800RPM. Second turbo kicked in later. There was zero lag feel.

Yup. As Mat has mentioned, looks like we'll have different turbo options depending on the tq curve wanted.

Normally a twin turbo v6 would have some lag. Not an issue in this case for a few reasons.
The engine uses a single exhaust port for all cylinders on each bank. No individual runner manifolds. 3 cylinders > 1 exit > right to the turbo.

We also have an option for an extremely fast spooling 13T.

I expect, when all said and done this kit will be very popular and will remain competitive in price to any supercharger while blowing away the superchargers power.

For example, the 4.0L engine with the TRD SC, using smaller pulleys put down *around* 350whp or less.
Our base 13T kit beats that number.

Exactly what I’m thinking. The way this thread is going, it’s going to look like these kits will be flying off the shelves. But how many will really be buying them

That's a different setup. Compound turbos. Works great for inline engine configurations.

With twin turbos on a V engine generally you'll see two identical turbos for pressure balance reasons. Unless your joining both exhaust exits prior to entering the turbo. But on the Tacoma that would put the turbos far down and underneath the truck. Not a good position for an off-road vehicle. It would also have noticeable lag over a twin system on this application.

    On a different note,
I was fjording a couple rivers this weekend, and I had water higher than the turbo location in that photo. Would that be a problem for this setup @OVTune ?

I will need someone with a MT interested in testing, but that's later.

Good, awesome. It was just a thought I know it's a sealed system, and am familiar with turbos but not overly familiar with how they perform in adverse conditions.

Like I said a lot depends on the tune. There are other details to be worked out. Engine will most likely run warmer (spark plug swap). If your not already running synthetic oil you’ll have to switch (for the turbo) and is there enough room up front for all the additional pipeing.

This is a big statement people. If Mat's quick spool kit is promising to beat out 350whp, we could very accurately assume that the GT25R setup could produce 400+whp. We could very easily be in the realm of a 200whp increase over untuned stock.

Does the 3.5 have forged pistons from the factory?

Forged crank, forged rods. Pistons do not need to be forged to handle boost.

More information will be revealed in a few weeks

I have no idea if the taco will be anything like an eco, but just google f150 eco turbo problems. Should keep you busy for awhile. Im not knocking OVs abilities at all, just not going there again. I traded my f150 at 35k miles, couldnt take it anymore.
