Ya I wanted yellow fogs too. I always like that look, but it would be too much imo

 

It's pretty easy. I replaced the bearing in my tensioner last week. Used a hammer and an 11/16th socket to get the old one out, matches the inner race almost perfectly. Then used the old bearing stacked on top of the new one and the socket to whack it in. The old bearing matches the inner and outer races of the new one so it keeps out of the middle section of the new bearing. The old bearing also takes the brunt of the force so the new one doesn't get damaged. How'd it go?

 

Calculated MPGs with my 33s, stock gears, and towing a 6x12 U-Haul trailer full of my crap across the country. Terrible. Duh. Who gives a shit? Aside from possibly considering new gears later... it’s a truck, she can tow when she needs to, she can off road like a champ. She’s a lean mean camping/adventuring machine! That was the point. I did it and wished I hadn’t bothered, because it doesn’t matter. I knew it would be shit. I didn’t buy her to save on gas money!

The answer by the way was 11.7. I’ll blame the endless storms and headwinds for bringing it down that low.

 

Welded up my body mounts chops, welded some new wheels on my 30 year old welding cart.

 

Got it replaced just fine. It wasn't the source of the noise though. Glad we didn't pay Toyota to replace the entire tensioner. Im thinking Throw out bearing as it goes away with the clutch engaged.

 

Get him a TRD pacifier.

Didn't fix my squeak either, though I'm glad to know the bearing is new. Have a new bearing coming to replace the last idler pulley that I was unable to swap out when I changed belt and pulleys last year. Hopefully my squeak is gone after I swap the bearing. DIY is the best way - you just gave yourself a $750 tip. You must provide excellent service.
