I don’t know if you saw this pic the other day but this is the entrance hole on my first doe last year. First time using mechanicals in years. Didn’t have very good experiences when I first tried mechanicals. Mine have the thickest mechanical blades made, so I figure they should be pretty durable and good penetration at least.

Between trying mechanicals I have used 100 gr. Slick Trick’s. Good luck with them. Not awesome blood trails but always found the deer.

dont get the 3blade, they are a PIA...at least one of the blades always seems to pop out of the oring and dangle then its a pain to get them all lined back up. Not something you want to mess with at the time of trial!

How do you mark to remember your pin placements?

1-Pin HHA Optimizer Lite for me. Keep it at 25 yards and only readjust at over 30 for instance.

How does your quiver mount to your bow? And do you leave it on while you hunt in the stand?

And how do you support your bow while practicing and not in use?

No I lay mine down gently on something or the ground. I used to have a hanger to keep it on but don’t where I live now. I just rest it on an outdoor chair.

After I get in my stand. I flipped up the quick release lever, take the quiver off and hook it on the first arrow on the two handles on the side of my arm rests

Good questions. I just try and practice exactly like when I hunt. So I have my quiver adapter on my bow when I practice and I don’t ever practice with the quiver on because I will never hunt that way. That loop on my quiver has been great. I used to have to do all kinds of weird stuff to keep me quiver near me and not in my way. I used to tie it to my bow lifting string but that wasn’t anywhere near as convenient as the loop thing.
