What is the issue?

 

I cannot simply cut the plate. It's where the box is.

 

I did not use the pelfreybilt mounting plate I used one's made by @Yotamac I think, but had to re drill mounting bracket holes so the wire harness under the plate would clear the oem fuse box

 

Yeah I'm just not too happy. This is just looking like it won't fit. Could be my third shift eyes. But the only pics I've seen of this installed on an OR MT 3rd gen have that plate right up against it. Which the back country roads I drive will snap that in 2 sec.

I'll wait to hear from pelfreybilt. If this has to be modified and they clearly have not declared that anywhere on their site I'll be asking for a refund and making my own. Was just trying to not have to do more metal fabrication after doing it all day at work because the only shop available to me these days is a haul away.

 

Have you seen what's been going on with Pelfrey?

 

Went old school today for security. Now the clutch can’t be depressed or the steering wheel turned.

Was gonna say, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a response from them. They haven't been responding to anyone regarding anything. Selling it private party or modifying it may be your best course of action.

Like I said. Hopefully there's a quick remedy and it just needs another set of eyes for a fix. Was hoping someone else had one with a photo of it clearly avoiding those components.

If not, shame on Pelfrey. I mean for God's sake it's literally just cardboard, marker and a utility knife to R&D the fitment. Again, leaving room that it could just be operator error ony part though .

 

That's the thing. There is no modding the plate. It is where the fuse box goes. So you can cut the plate. The fuse box will still hit it. The blue sea one that is.

And the pelfreybilt name will go on. At some point someone will take care of their customers if this ends up being a non resolvable issue, or I way overpayed for a $10 peice of metal.

I did not go with Pelfrey because of the way it mounted, pita mounting the hardware blind underneath I double checked I did go with yotamac mounting plate
