Steal one from @DoubleRGirl She doesn’t drive her Tacoma anyways so it’d be months before she even realized it’s missing!

Today was truck wash and tire rotation day. The Ford stock pads dust like crazy! Here’s a before and after using the Chemical Guys’ Ball Buster and their recommended wheel cleaner.

Woke up today with a banging headache and crazy nausea. Spent most of yesterday on my hands and knees cleaning my second floor now that the bathroom remodel is nearly done. Was looking forward to getting out in the yard today. Hopefully everything clears up.

We had a sick baby earlier this weekend so maybe she gave me something.

I nearly put a FS sign on the Vette last night. The headlights on that car are a nightmare. Was driving home last night and the guy in front of me got out of his truck to yell at me because the DS pop-up bounces too much and was annoying him. I’ve already had it apart to put in high end projectors to get rid of the crappy stock units. Those didn’t work because of the bounce. I put it back to stock and rebuilt the motor and lifting assembly. Something didn’t go right in that so it pops up and slams down. Now sometimes one will work and one won’t and a dog bulb went out last night.

I need to take a weekend and rip everything apart and replace the motors and bit the bullet. I wish I liked the fixed headlight options because it would solve my problems.

Maybe I just need a different car.

I would have told the guy to piss off. There are thousands of other cars with worse headlight blinding problems out there.

Uhg. Found out the pelfreybilt fuse panel for the blue sea box is useless. What a big disappointment.

I'll go custom if I have to, just would rather not because I spend 70hrs a week welding anyways. Any suggestions for the 3rd gen OR manual?

Probably end up piggy backing off the fuse box cover if I can't find anything.

If you can find out the thread pitch of the nut, then you can go and get a thread file and straighten them out. It will take some work to fix them but it can be done

Oh I’m sure. I think the frustrating thing is I know it’s bad so being told it’s bad stings.

This is where I wish MkIV Supras weren’t priced in the stratosphere. Fixed headlights have no issues.

    Bah.

I am literally just painting mine today.

Is there clearance issues or is it just because it’s not level?

It clearly doesn't fit. It's aluminum. You could maybe beat the angle out at the screw hole. But if you just crank it down you are putting screw machanical force on the controller.

Also, if they made it that unlevel I'd also return it for being incredibly hack. Haha.

What’s it hitting on? I must be blind because I don’t see the interference in the photo. Mine’s wet right now so I can’t mock it up.

Pop your hood. Look to the driver side of the reservoir. You'll see a white clip with all the wires. MVIMG_20180902_152150.jpg

Oh okay. I didn’t see that photo in your post.

Can you rotate it 180 degrees and have the Blue Sea panel over the OEM fuse box? My panel is wet so I can’t test for it on my truck.

I'm assuming you'd have to drill new holes because the whole plate is indexed by the hope for the reservoir.

Once my plate dries I’ll do some mocking up. It looks like my mounting holes are slotted for the reservoir bolts and they the centerline of the reservoir hole is centered within the mounting slots so conceivably you could rotate it. It’s whether there’s clearance in the bay and with the hood that would be the issue.

Looks like the plane of the plate is going to be right where the hose coming off the reservoir is.

Not true, moved it out of the garage today to get the bikes out. They've been ridden even less than the truck
