Just did my gears Sat. Haven't had a chance to check mileage. Did not want to over compensate so went with 4:10

Ok, we all had fun with my gas hole , a little sore and still nasty . But I would like a true explanation as to how so much dirt gets in there ? Does it all just get in thru around the door opening? Am I missing where it gets in there ?

That's a bullshit response. Keep on them to make it right or refund your money.

Well, I went out to the garage this morning and made it all work. Cutting and Splicing, etc. Probably did a better job than their design.

I had already drilled holes and inserted Rivnuts in the undersides of my A-Pillars for the brackets so there was no turning back, kind of. Luckily, I had purchased a Rivnut tool last year during my Air Horn project so that came in handy.

I'm gonna give the old girl a bath this afternoon after some glue dries and I'll put up some pics.

It's still a shit response from @CaliRaisedLed telling you to hack up a brand new light to make it useable.

Good on you for making it work for you. Are you going to try heat forming the cover to fit?

I had a spare cover from my Rigid ditch light pods. I found that if you turn it 90° it will clip perfectly over the top/bottom of the Cali bar.

I'm going to get a couple pairs of those and fashion a 3" x 52" piece of plexiglass, cover it with carbon fiber style contact paper, then cement it to the Rigid covers. Stay tuned.

A little old school security. For $8, it should slow down any thieves, but I know it won't stop anyone determined enough. I maybe drive my truck once a week, so it won't be a hassle to take it off and on each time. Locks between the clutch and my steering wheel.

My friend claims 5HP from it. I'm thinking 3-4 respectively...

I don't want to find out! I live on a fairly busy road and my truck stands out, so I do what I can so it doesn't grow legs and walk away.

I had one of those years ago. It was great until one day the lock broke and I could not unlock it. It took hours and several hacksaw blades to finally get it off. :sawzall:

Ha! Luckily if that happens I have my angle grinder handy. That'd make quick work of it, so long as I don't catch my damn truck on fire.

Years ago, we had a kid in town who kept stealing his mom's car. We gave her a club to prevent him from stealing the car. He cut the steering wheel with a hacksaw and stole it anyway. She wouldn't kick his ass out of the house. He's probably in jail now.

There are two oversize filters you can go to. The largest filter may require removal of the plastic engine cover.

    1st oversize: ACDelco PFL400, Fram 3600, Mobil M1-209, Purolator 20195, Royal Purple 20-400, Wix 51516.

    2nd oversize: ADCelco PF2, Fram PH8a/HP1, Mobil M1-301, Purolator 30001, Royal Purple 30-8A, Wix 51515.

I'm using the Purolator PBL30001 Boss, and putting 6.5 qts of oil in the engine. There is actually a third size between these two - a shortened version of the large filter but same diameter, ie Fram PH43, Wix 51068.
