During the summer mine is set to "Off" and during the winter it's set at 58 overnight, 62 when we're not home, and 65 when we are. The house usually runs between 68-74 during the winter, though.

Since I work days and my wife works nights our AC is on pretty much set at 76* all day and night. We have had a brutal month this year. It has been mostly over 100* each day with warm nights. The highest day was 116*. WE just had a new AC system installed a few months ago 3 ton 25 SEER full variable meaning instead of one or two stages it ramps up and down as needed. It cost a fortune to install but with all the above mentioned our electric bill this month was just under $300. About $100 of that is from our electric SPA. That is a huge discount from our old AC which was set at 78* and shut off whenever possible.

Just finished up my kitchen rehab yesterday. Not the best pics, but you get the idea. This is my first full kitchen rehab, and first time doing tile. Can't complain.. not the easiest layout but we made it work.

The dog usually stands on the cart the entire time we are at Homedepot.. I guess I took too long to figure out what I needed.

Please post up more about that pan rack above the sink. I like that. I have something similar but away from the sink. I like where that is. :hattip:

That is an IKEA Grundtal shelf. I have bought a bunch of them over the years in various sizes and they are great. One unrealized benefit of locating it above the sink.. you can hang wet pots/pans after washing and they drip into the sink! That was really the only place to hang one in this kitchen, so it worked out and we lucked out on the size. They hold a decent amount of weight (with good fasteners, and anchors if necessary), and keep it semi organized.. You can't see this kitchen from anywhere in the house except the kitchen, so it doesn't matter how it looks to me; form follows function :headbang:.

It looks like IKEA might have stopped making them and replaced them with something similar... But only available in one size for now - https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50334925/

Very cool. Yes, that is what I was thinking about the location....doubles as a drying rack. Perfect!
I have a J.K. Adams rack that may be relocated. :anonymous: I like that idea.

was able to utilize my 4 day weekend and got some things done around the house.

Installed the remaining two bedroom flooring. I still need to install the wall base but its getting there. Also installed and ran the ceiling fans as well as little touches around the house. New threshold at the front door and then some minor trim pieces outside that were missing for some reason and really triggered my OCD. I still need to remove the front door and prime/paint it along with a new door sweep. But for now, were making great progress.

I have the Graco Magnum X5, It worked great for my basement. Sprayed the walls in primer, painted the ceiling with it, and sprayed all trim and doors.

How did the paint turn out on the doors and trim? I'm finding a lot of sprayers geared towards painting walls, not furniture. Would it be easy to spray the insides of cabinets with?

    Thanks for the response.

I'll probably catch crap for this but I looked into HVLP guns to do some garage cabinets and didn't want to spend a lot of $. What I read was the Harbor Freight HVLP gun with a Graco tip works excellently. I have a few more projects to do before I pull that trigger :rimshot:but it's probably the route I'll go. Of course, I'm not a paint professional so it's not going to be a daily use tool.
