Drivers door 2018 double cab trd.
Truck only has 4500 miles and now this??? It makes an audible grinding sound?? Even chipped the paint on the door edge. Will this be taken care of at the dealer? Seems like the door is out of square with the cab or something?

Will they just try to put touch up paint or should insist they actually repaint the parts that are bad?

It’s your truck, demand they make it like it new. Longer you wait the more damage it will cause.

The first thing they'll do is try to make sure the door fits properly, then they'll do touch up paint since it's such a minor chip, not really complete re-paint worthy

Looks like they need to adjust the door or fender to open that gap up a little

I am curious about what the dealer did to fix this. Everyone knows that body panels on these trucks will be misaligned some but when its wearing away paint that's too far. I am going through a similar much minor issue with my passenger taillight damaging the paint due to a gap issue.

Service advisor told me he's seen a lot of issues with these new tacomas that the vinyl stickers on top of the doors didnt even align on many of them. I don't think you're alone. Damn shame!

This happened to both of my passenger doors. The front and rear doors were both hitting on the body. The first service guy even said that was normal. I had to speak to the service manager to get it taken care of. It’s all good now. I had them do the TSB updates while it was there.

Are you the original owner? Is it possible that it may have been in an accident?

That second and third picture definitely warrants a trip to the dealer! Don't take no for an answer!

Compare the gap at the back of the door with the passenger side.
Look at your divers side fender gap with the hood. Vs Passenger side.
Look at the front of the vehicle to make sure someone didn't "nudge" your truck.
