Got my 275/70/17 A/T3 LT’s mounted up yesterday. Love these tires. Perfect size for my lift setup and the T4R Pro wheels have a better offset than the OR wheel IMO. They are quieter and smoother than my BFG KO2s. Now my prinsu sounds louder.

Looks great. How heavy are these? Do you know the height (diameter)? Might upgrade to this size and tire. Currently have 265/70/17 c rated ko2s

They were 52 lbs per the cooper website. I think they are listed as 32.3” tall. The whole setup feels lighter than my stock OR’s and 265/75/16 ko2’s. Not sure the wheel weights but there was a thread on here somewhere a long time ago that listed these rims as lighter than the stock OR’s.

What lift are you running to clear the 285’s? Any rubbing issues?

King coilovers set at about 2” over stock, rear Icon 3 leaf AAL which gives about 2” in the rear as well. Doesn’t rub anywhere but I have 2” bulge McNeil fiberglass fenders and a heavy cab mount chop with a hammered down pinch seam.

Yea I knew the tires are the same same size/weight and with recent calculations the XLTs have only been slightly lower MPGs then I had with the Toyos. The quietness I now have in the truck is well worth the slightly lower MPG.

So if anyone is interested I thought I'd give my quick review of these tires. I recently took my truck to an Off Road Park here in Maine were I was able to put my tires to the test. These tires meet my exceptions on multiple types of terrain, rocks, mud, and sand performing well on all of them. They also saw water, and boy was there a lot of water because it poured the whole weekend leaving the trails wet and flooded, but the tires work well. For compassion two of the other trucks that were running BFG All Terrains and I don't feel they had any more or less traction on any of the trials we road that weekend.

Now I have noticed almost a 1 MPG drop in mileage compared to the Toyo ATs that I had in the same size, but I can deal with that decrease because these tires are very quiet on the road, so quiet I can't believe they're an AT. My old Toyo ATs I was running before had a howl from day one driving them home and that only got worse with mileage.

So far I'm very happy with my purchase of these tires and I would buy them again.

What are these rated? I'm looking for a 275/70/17 rated C

These are load range E. The original A/T3 comes in a load range C in this size.

That's what I was afraid of. Seems impossible to find a C rated AT tire in that size. Not a fan of the original side wall of the AT3.

I wasn’t either. When these came out, I couldn’t resist. They don’t feel as heavy as my previous wheel/tire combo. But I did notice about a .5 mpg hit. But I also moved to the Texas hill country a couple weeks before. I think that’s playing into it as well.

Anyone have any feedback with some more technical wheeling on the AT3 XLT?

I'm looking to get away from mud terrains, and I can buy a set of 5 295/75r16 XLTs for just over $800 right now on ebay.

Slightly concerned about going form a 3 ply sidewall to 2.

Just ordered my new set of 265/65/17 AT3 4s for my 2009 PreRunner on Friday. I can't wait to get them put on along with my new set of 2018 4Runner wheels. Will post some before and after pics

Got a good deal on a set of 285/75R16 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT from @Discount Tire Direct . I'm liking how quiet and smooth these are on the highway. Seem to have good traction on dirt roads, haven't done any wheeling with these yet. My only concern was they took a lot of weight to balance, the worst being 6oz of sticky weights on the outside and 5 oz of clip on weights on the inside lip of the rim. Used to have a set of 265/75R16 Duratracs which were good for the first few years but got too loud after they wore down. These tires are a little firmer being load range E but nothing jarring, still have to chalk test these to get the correct pressures.
